It was prophesied that His name would be Wonderful Counselor. This shows that a man’s name prophesies and manifests in their life. So, you want to be careful when naming your child. It’s not about Alexis and Alexa and cute matching names. It’s about names with power.Anyways, back to our topic of discussion.
A Counselor according to the Merriam Webster Dictionary is a person who gives advice especially professionally. Jesus is not just a Counselor though, He is the Wonderful Counselor. You know how you go to seek some advice from your friend on something you’re confused about. And they can’t say so much because they can’t relate? Well, Jesus is not like that. He counsels you because He totally understands and has passed through it before.
“For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin.”
Hebrews 4:15 AMP
He was betrayed by his friend, He was very hungry with no food in sight.
So this Christmas season, carry the consciousness that you are not alone in what you are going through. Ask GOD for help and He will come to your aid.
If you have not accepted Christ yet, you can’t have access to the Wonderful Counselor. You may tell people about what you are going through but they won’t understand. You have to genuinely repent and forsake whatever sin you’ve committed. Confess your sins to GOD. Believe in Jesus’ power to save you from your sins and ask Him to help you forsake them. Just say this prayer :“Father I acknowledge that I am a sinner, that Jesus died for me, that you raised him from the dead. Father please forgive me. I accept Jesus today as my Lord and my Saviour. I choose to walk in The Way. Amen.”
It’s that simple! Now you need to join a Bible believing church. This is to ensure that you are nurtured rightly. Also, you need to get baptized with water as a public show that you’re now with Jesus. You also need to be baptized in the Holy Ghost.
