“For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 AMP
This was one of the ways He was described – The Prince of Peace. He spreads peace to everyone who cares to receive it.
Peace is calmness in the midst of a storm. It is not merely the absence of troubles but calmness despite it.
“But Jesus reprimanded them. “Why are you gripped with fear? Where is your faith?” Then he stood up and rebuked the storm and said, “Be still!” And instantly it became perfectly calm.”
Matthew 8:26 TPT
Like the peace Jesus had while on the boat with His disciples and a boisterous storm arose, I mean, He was fast asleep. This truly depicts peace beyond human understanding. Every one would have expected a normal person to be scared and even to start saying their last prayers. He was not normal after all so, he did an abnormal thing. He was at peace despite the storm.
To have peace, what do you need to do?
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
Keep your mind stayed on Christ and trust Him. Don’t keep worrying about your troubles and problems. They will only steal your peace and give you high blood pressure. To worsen it, your problems won’t be solved.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
So this Christmas season, carry this consciousness that no matter what you’re going through or will ever go through. Whatever troubles you’ll ever have. Whatever may come your way, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and He is your peace.
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.“
John 16:33 KJV
If you haven’t accepted Christ yet, you can’t have true peace. You have to genuinely repent and forsake whatever sin you’ve committed. Confess your sins to GOD. Believe in Jesus’ power to save you from your sins and ask Him to help you forsake them. Just say this prayer :
“Father I acknowledge that I am a sinner, that Jesus died for me, that you raised him from the dead. Father please forgive me. I accept Jesus today as my Lord and my Saviour. I choose to walk in The Way. Amen.”
It’s that simple! Now you need to join a Bible believing church. This is to ensure that you are nurtured rightly. Also, you need to get baptized with water as a public show that you’re now with Jesus. You also need to be baptized in the Holy Ghost.
I trust you were inspired. Here’s a challenge for you : Copy your favourite part of this blog post and Repost on your status walls and social media pages or stories. Let’s remind everyone of who the reason for the season is.
Till I come your way tomorrow! ✌🏾
