Pamela suddenly came down with a fever. She was shocked because she had followed every health guideline in the past few months . She prayed about it but it seemed like it only got worse. Her friend, Ite prayed for her too. She felt better for a bit only for it to get worse at night.
Her church leader said a prayer and certain faith confessions over her. She was not getting better. She wondered, has GOD stopped answering prayers?
Have you ever prayed to GOD for something? Or maybe it was a situation? Then, you thought to yourself, “GOD has definitely turned deaf ears to my prayers.” Or you thought, “I probably didn’t say the right words.”
“Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is His ear too deaf to hear you call.“
Isaiah 59:1 NLT
Can you relate? Then, this post is definitely for you. Please stay with me for the next few minutes.
Prayer is simply you talking to GOD and GOD talking back to you. It may be that you are talking to Him about a need, asking Him for strength or asking Him for direction. You can talk to Him about anything basically. Remember, GOD is interested in every itty-bitty detail of your life. Mind you, there are times that when it is not GOD’s will, it won’t be answered.
“When you pray, all that is required of you is to believe. For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.“

Imagine John, a 9 year old boy praying for a car. GOD definitely heard His prayer. He probably even laughed it off.
P. S: GOD has feelings too. Stop thinking He is some far-fetched being who is always wearing a serious face.
He might just store John’s prayer request in the prayer bank and provide him with a car when the time is right. Or He might give John’s father a car to drive John wherever he wishes. I mean, we are just considering all the possibilities.
There are times you pray for something and it ‘takes a while‘ before it is answered. Perhaps you did not already know, your timing is not GOD’s timing.
“Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day.“
2 Peter 3:8 AMP
I will have you know that Pamela got better later that day. In fact, she experienced the quickest recovery ever.

Conclusion
When it seems as though GOD is not answering your prayers, don’t think that He does not care. Don’t start to doubt His Almighty nature. Just keep trusting and believing that He has your best interest at heart. Your answer will come sooner or later or in a form you least expected. GOD is still GOD anyway!
