Kay works in a banking firm. Banking firm meaning money comes in and goes out every second. Every other worker in the bank changes figures. You know what I mean? They add a couple of zeros while keeping some money in their bags or wallets. They had been doing this for years and the former Bank Manager was very aware.
Months later, a new Bank Manager was brought to the branch. He decided to go through the records. He was muzzed by the falsified records! He decided to investigate and everyone who was involved in fraud was replaced and made to pay. Kay stood out because he was faithful in all he did even when no one was watching. He got a promotion to be the Zonal Manager …
“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.“
Matthew 25:29 NLT
The Passion Translation puts ‘Faithfulness‘ as ‘faith that prevails.’
This kind of faith is not same as the gift of the Spirit, faith.
The gift of faith means to depend on God despite the situation. The fruit of Faithfulness (faith) on the other hand means to be dependable.
This fruit has to do with trust, loyalty and dependability.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.“
Heb 11:6 NKJV
Yes! GOD again because He can not be taken out of the equation . Believing in GOD is a beautiful thing but it does not end there. You have to be faithful to Him. Faithful to GOD in the sense that you are devoted to Him and Him alone. Faithful to GOD in the sense that you obey His every command.
You might be wondering : How does this affect me?

I got you, right? Just follow me closely.
Having a beautiful and faithful relationship with GOD helps your other relationships. Be it with friends, family, spouse or even strangers. They see you as loyal. They see you as a trustworthy and faithful person . You become faithful just like your Father is faithful. He is faithful in keeping all His promises to you even when you do not think so.
Faithfulness is being careful in keeping what you are entrusted with. Like Kay, if you are entrusted with money, you give it back intact.
In the world at large, faithfulness is a virtue sought by all. So, as a believer with the Holy Spirit in you, you have an edge. He works the fruit of Faithfulness in you.

I know you’ve been inspired. Please share with someone. What is your take on the fruit of Faithfulness? Please leave a comment too as I always love to hear from you.
Till I come your way again.
