Do you remember that because of Christ, we have peace with God (i.e reconciliation with Him) and peace on earth? That His birth gave us hope and a reason to celebrate? I hope you do.

After starting a relationship with God, even in the course of the relationship, you might feel that you’re not totally free from your past sins. I mean somewhere in your mind, you know that you’re free from sin but it seems you cannot get rid of the guilt. You might feel condemned. The devil might come around and whisper : “you’ll never be good enough” in your ears.

This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins! He canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all—our sins, our stained soul—he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved ! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.

Colossians 2:13‭-‬14 TPT

This Scripture above is just so comforting. It tells us that Christ has erased the record of all our sins. In other words, the old you is totally gone and you are new! Isn’t this amazing?

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT

Knowing this reality, when those condemning thoughts come, rebuke them. Fight back with Scriptures.

P. S: I’ll include some Scriptures that show the reality of the New You below so be on the lookout.

Refuse to let those thoughts linger. If you do, guilt might come into the picture and will most likely lead to you drawing back from God. This, is what the devil wants.

In 2021, refuse to let yourself be condemned! You don’t have to feel guilty about who you were before you met Christ. Christ isn’t ashamed of you. YOU ARE NEW!

READ THAT AGAIN! …

What other steps do you take to get rid of condemning thoughts? Let me know in the comment section.

I hope you were inspired. If you were, please do well to share with your loved ones. Do have a prosperous new year!

  • Gal. 2:20 – I’m dead to sin and alive in Christ
  • 2 Cor. 5:17 – I’m a new creation
  • Eph. 4:24 – I’m a new man created in righteousness and holiness.
  • Rom. 8:1- I’m not condemned because I am in Christ Jesus
  • Rom. 8:2 – I am free from the law of sin and death.

Speaking out God’s promises to you in his word will help to. Saying it out orally can help you focus on the life giving words

Yes indeed! Christ isn’t ashamed of me. I AM NEW.
“Just as if it never happened” he closes that chapter of me and gives a fresh start.

    Thanks so much 🌝😇.

Another way of getting rid of condemning thoughts is simply to sing God’s praise. Just channel those thoughts to him in worship.

Also, you just have to realize that God isn’t pleased with the death of a sinner and so he always will give another chance. “He is kind, full of compassion, slow to anger and abounds in steadfast love”.

True,Satan does sow seeds of doubts in us but it’s best don’t nurture them to fruition 😇.,God actually isn’t looking for the perfect people, he’s in search for the imperfect who will meet perfection in him.

God bless you ma’am,more grace and a prosperous New Year to you too 😇

    Thank you🤗
I think some other things that could be done are praying when those thoughts come to mind, pray to the one who has declared you free from sin, guilt, shame and tell him to help you live in the fact that you’re totally free.
Then talking to fellow believers helps a lot too…
