So in my last post, we talked about how Baby Jesus’ birth brought us PEACE – peace with God and peace on earth . A peace that is beyond human understanding.
The story of Christmas – again, not about the good old man with a big belly, white wooly beards and a round spectacle. I’m talking about Jesus’ birth. It is one that clearly depicts HOPE. For a world damaged beyond repair by sin, there simply could not be any other source of hope.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Matthew 1:21 NIV
The only solution was a wise, all-powerful, flawless and righteous Saviour. He came, and because he did, there is hope that sinners can be redeemed and the world can be renewed. Look, this is not a fairy-tale neither is it made up. It’s true!
”And his name will be the hope of all the world.”
Matthew 12:21 NLT
Jesus’ birth had been foretold by great prophets like Isaiah. This was proof that what was about to hit the world was something extraordinary.
The only Hope we have here and forever was given us because of this Christmas miracle so to speak. His birth offered to us on a platter of gold :
- A restored relationship with God
- Love like no other
- Peace with God and peace on earth
- Hope here and beyond
Now how’s that for a true story?
Have you lost hope because of all that has happened this year? Do you feel like nothing you do now can help you regain it? Well, here’s a soft reminder that it’s that season again! The season when Hope was born and sent to redeem us. Let hope arise within you because it really was never lost.
I hope this inspired you. Do well to share with your loved ones, don’t forget to share and of course, watch out for the last part of the ‘Because of Him’ blog series.
